We found this place by chance while wandering around Modica. Inside there are just a few tables, with more seating in an outdoor passage. On the shelves you can find publications about the owners and their philosophy. They promise to serve traditional dishes with their own signature twist. The menu is accessed via a QR code. It’s short but interesting. We tried the caponata and the octopus on a potato bed. Both were delicious, although the potatoes were served a little too cold. For mains, we ordered carbonara and carbonara di tonno. The carbonara was slightly too dry, as if the proportion of pasta to sauce wasn’t quite right. My husband enjoyed the crispy tuna in his carbonara. Overall, it was a pleasant meal, though the price-to-quality ratio and portion sizes felt a bit on the expensive side.
Best food in town truly authentic and innovative. Brilliant chef and great service. Every item was uniquely cooked super tasty. The place is hidden in an alley and worth the find. Walter and Chiara brings love and passion to this place.
Very nice place to get a super tasty pasta alla norma (if you’re vegan/lactose intolerant you can get it without ricotta) My friend loved the pistacchio pesto and guanciale pasta! The staff is also very kind and helpful! We really enjoyed our dinner at Bisboccia!
The restaurant is out of the way in a tunnel like side street, it’s quite small with a few tables inside and out front. The food was a bit hit and miss starters were fine (zucchini flowers with ricotta, scallops), but the primi ravioli with ricotta were quite tasteless and barely filled. The main course ‘burger’ with egg was just that meat with a fried egg and a small dollop of of cold mashed potatoes. Ordering a hamburger I expected more especially since it was 16€.
Restaurant located on a side street on Corso Umberto I in Modica. Small but very well-kept place with the possibility of dining outside under the mini gazebo. The chef offers various traditional dishes from Ragusa with the addition of a touch of customisation. Our attention was focused on the second courses and specifically on the swordfish and pistachio sea bream accompanied by French fries and green and grape salad. The quality is truly top (as are the portions). All washed down with glasses of Ispica. To finish I tasted the almond sorbet (a delight). Congratulations, keep it up.
