The sandwich I had was excellent—... read more I recently visited this restaurant to grab a sandwich, and it’s been on my list for quite some time. I wish I had come sooner! The sandwich I had was excellent—so fresh and flavorful. The staff were wonderful, and the cat, Punkin, is absolutely adorable. The atmosphere is charming, almost like a small rustic oasis in the heart of Modesto. I ordered the Christine sandwich with added roast beef, and the combination of sprouts and cream cheese was fantastic. I will definitely be returning; everything was fantastic!

The warm sense of community, the connection to nature with plants all around, and the simple yet delightful sandwiches create a near-perfect experience. I ordered the... read more There are plenty of excellent dining options in Modesto, and The Brighter Side is certainly one of them. It has proven to be a timeless favorite! I ordered the Genora sandwich, which comes with roast beef, avocado, lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese. It was a warm and incredibly tasty sandwich. The staff here are very friendly as well. I highly recommend The Brighter Side and will definitely be back for lunch. Just a heads up: make sure to bring cash, as they don’t accept credit cards.

They use classic ingredients but with a fun twist. After enjoying your meal, be sure to say hello to Kettle and browse the antique items on display. My personal favorite is the Nicholas with avocado!
