Avant-garde Emiliano cuisine. This is not the place to come for ‘traditional’ classics but more for an innovative and interesting take on those classics. The food was spectacular the rose veal tartare with sea urchin was the best tartare I’ve ever had, it was simply exquisite. The service was ok but slightly slow this was because there were too few staff for the number of customers (the place was full, no doubt because the food was so good). I have also certainly had friendlier service in Italy. In general, the atmosphere was a bit “too cool for school” for my liking but that might be your thing, I appreciate that there is no point disputing taste. On the other hand, the wine list was excellent and complemented the food well. So in summary, for quality of food and wine, 5 stars, service and atmosphere 3, therefore 4 in total.
