It's tidy and mo... read more We popped in by coincidence for a quick lunch on a weekday after shopping at the Mercato Albinelli. The chalkboard had an enticing lunch offer. It's tidy and modern inside and we were greeted warmly. The menu is my favourite kind handwritten daily based on what's fresh. About six different primi (pasta) for €5 6 and the same number of secondi (mains). The waitress spoke excellent English and translated the menu for us on the spot. It was tough to choose, but I had pennette with pancetta, peas and mushrooms. The other side of the table had gnocchi with sausage, spinach and cheese. Both were delicious and fresh, served with lovely freshly grated parmeggiano on the side. I wish I could have tried all of the menu! We saw the place fill up while we were there, and everything coming out of the kitchen looked great. The best came with the check €18 for lunch for two, including beer, water and coffee (served with a little pastry). Great value in my book. If we lived nearby, I'd be here regularly.
