It was sweet... read more I have the traditional Crescenterie that is Lardo montanaro (pesto). It was only €3.10. Only one Parmesan pesto spreads out with no other filling. It was sweet and beautiful!! The outer layers are complete and it was so crispy, but nevertheless slightly chewing. Definitely worth a try! However, it is recommended to get one with a filling when you get full with this meal! Otherwise it's more like a snack.

The environment... read more Quick lunch stop before departure towards Piedmont. I decided to stop at this small place, in the center of Modena, specializing in crescentine! The environment is very small, crowded, few seats. On the counters there are historical references to crescentine. They are cooked freshly, with the possibility of choosing between traditional and wholemeal dough. You can choose small or large in size. The list of fillings proposed by the owners is very long, but you can opt for any customization. I chose the crescentina of the day, wholemeal dough, with pastrami, caramelized onion, tomato and rocket: crazy! I loved it, an explosion of flavours, all expertly balanced. Although generous in size, I was still a little hungry. I opted for a more traditional small crescentina with lard pesto, raw ham, rocket. This is also excellent. In total I spent about ten euros. I will definitely be back! Best crescentina eaten so far!
