From the front it just looks like a little cafe but as you walk past the front counter you come to an indoor seating area, then to a large undercover/outside seating area and just beyond that you can also choose to sit outside, basically in the park The lady serving us couldn't have been anymore helpful and friendly, we had our dog with us an chose to sit in the undercover area, as soon as we were settled she went and got a bowl of water for the dog really nice touch. Then, helped us choose what to eat to make sure we got a taste of all the traditional food of the area, their gnocco fritto is probably the best you can find. If we come back to the area again we would most definitely return.

The place is tiny but cozy and in summer they have a backyard which literally goes into the Parco Ferrari nearby. Food is amazing, looks like street food, simply but tasty food. Price is awesome and staff is fast, professional and friendly. I recommend it in case you would like to taste some original modenese food with good price.

It is a busy place, but the... read more A big part of the enjoyment of Insolito is the big outdoor seating section that's essentially under the trees of Enzo Ferrari park. It is a busy place, but the staff there amazingly fast, and thats still while having time to take questions and even throw in a smile! So ambiance and atmosphere is through the roof or in this case through the trees! Gnocco Fritto is a very common local dish that you will see most places, and they do make them very well at Insolito. So the deal here is you get your GF and you put various delicious toppings on it and enjoy it with a bottle of Lambrusco and that's a start of a good evening! Very reasonably priced and Im always happy when i can get a decent bottle of lambrusco in the 10Eur range. Well done!
