Excellent platter of various cured meats, with tigelle and warm, non-greasy fried gnocco. The tagliatelle with ragù was delicious, with generous portions.
We were thinking of having lunch at a typical Modena trattoria. But we settled for pizza, which looked inviting. Unfortunately, it didn't meet our expectations. Mozzarella wasn't mozzarella, but a subspecies of cheese with a very strong flavor, tomato sauce more like ketchup, and a semi-finished dough. The cloth cover was excellent, but €2.50 seemed excessive for a trattoria.
I had fried crescentine and tigelle with cured meats and pesto, which were truly excellent. A generous platter of ham, coppa estiva, and salami, along with a pancetta pesto. Tigelle were super small, different, and homemade.
A very intimate and welcoming place, warm but not stuffy, and very quiet. Prompt service and very kind waiters, well-proportioned and satisfying dishes, well-prepared and made with quality ingredients. A plate of pasta is enough to satisfy even the most appetizing of eaters. Reasonably priced, highly recommended.
