The vegetarian menu offered several options, but only a limited selection was vegan. I tried the Mung-Bon stew, which was packed with beans, carrots, potatoes, and had a strong ginger aroma. It was served with rice and a salad. The portion size was generous and quite filling. Additionally, it came with a complimentary appetizer of a bread roll in tomato sauce, which was a bit unusual but actually tasted good. Overall... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Pleasure Principle:
The espresso was good, but I ordered the dahl curry, which had lentils that weren't fully cooked. The portion was quite small given the high price, although it was seasoned well enough. The staff was largely inattentive, bordering on rude; they didn’t even respond when I greeted them with ‘good morning’ as I entered. I came for a meal, and despite there being only one other table occupied, they still forgot my mango... View all feedback.
Espresso was good, I ordered the Dahl Curry lenses were not completely boiled, the part is quite small in view of the hefty price tag, although it was seasoned tasty enough. Really unattended staff. Borderline rude; would say 'Good morning' back to me if I entered. I even came to a meal, although there was only one other table that they could forget my mango juice.
Had dinner here and it was my favourite/most satisfying meal that I had while in Moalboal. Their menu has a page of vegetarian options, a few which can be made vegan. I had the Happy Hippy something... (it had a long, odd name and it was like a stew with mung beans, potato and veg served with rice and a starter basic green salad. It was nice to have a meal in Moalboal that featured a substantial vegan protein because everything else I found was just stir fried veg (no tofu anywhere . Their main dishes also all come with a free appetizer and luckily for me the appetizer they were serving that evening was a veggie spring roll that happened to be vegan. I would recommend this spot if you are vegan in Moalboal.
Several choices in the vegetarian menu area, but only a few were vegan. For the mung-bean stew, filled with beans, carrots, potatoes and a strong ginger aroma. Served with rice and salad. Was not bad, good size, very filling. Also came with a free appetiser of a spring roll in tomato sauce, which was a little strange but tasted good.
Really great food, includes free appetizers and cocktails! You only have about 5 vegetarian options, and the Turkish bean bowl was not very filling
I enjoyed the espresso, but my experience with the dahl curry wasn't great. The lentils were undercooked, and the portion size was quite small given the high price. While the dish was flavorful, the overall value didn't meet my expectations. Additionally, the staff was quite inattentive and borderlined on rude; they didn't even return my greeting when I walked in. It felt like they were bothered by my presence, and despite there only being one other table occupied, they forgot to bring my mango juice.
