What Ann Bed doesn't like about Chili:
Everything is overpriced. What is good about it is it is a beachfront, has pool table and beer pong. Their Kamikazee drink is bad. Not a good mixture compared to other bars. Ding dong is like 85 pesos when it was just maybe 25 pesos. Dynamite rolls is like P150 for 5 pieces but has no ground pork just cheese. The music they are playing are not the top hits. And service is ridiculous. If you play beer pong, you need t... View all feedback.
I wouldn't recommend this place. There are better options with a nice view. The food took a long time to arrive and simply wasn't worth the poor service. I usually don't leave negative reviews, but the waitstaff seemed more interested in having a good time than attending to the customers.
The food is quite good and offers a lovely view of the ocean. The menu features a mix of international dishes, with no standout local options, which is common for the island. On weekends, it transforms into a lively dance club. The atmosphere is vibrant, with an eclectic crowd that includes many Europeans on their gap year as well as a significant number of local Filipinos. The vibe is all about peace, love, unity, and respect (PLUR), and it's LGBTQ friendly. The DJ is skilled, playing a great selection of international hits. Plus, you can often spot turtles swimming off the balcony, and their piña coladas are fantastic!
This place is right on the beechfront in the backpackers alley, nestled between a large number of other bars and dive shops. There are two pool tables and lots of seating with direct water views. I had the ultimate burger and my girlfriend had the Siciliana pizza. The pizza was excellent, with real mozzarella, pepperoni and anchovies, and all the ingredients were fresh. The crust was crispy and thin. We also had the ultimate burger and it was humongous. It was pretty good although I wouldn't say it was amazing. The fries were very good as well and you can tell the oil was fresh as there was no bitterness. The prices are reasonable and the staff is fun to interact with. Plenty of beer selection as well. Good place to use as a starting point before exploring the rest of the bars and restaurants in the area.
This place gave the worst service, ever!!!! And the staff was rude and told me to pay for my dinner (2 pizzas) after they neglected to place my order in. I had to wait an entire hour, when I complained about it, the waiter said he would compensate my dinner for my having to wait. I went here and ordered 5 drinks and 2 Hawaiian pizzas. Waiter neglected to bring one customer her drink, and also neglected to place my order in for 2 Hawaiian pizzas. We sat there starving for an entire hour when I inquired, the waiter told me that he had forgotten to place my order in. We were told the wait for dinner was for 30 minutes only. Had I known that pizza would have taken over an hour, I would have left and gone to some other place to eat. When I went to pay for my drinks, the cashier informed me that my bill for the night was for 5 drinks and 2 pizzas, I had explained to her that the pizza was compensated in exchange for my having to wait due to their negligence. I complained to the staff, the waiter and the chef, all of them refused to apologize, told me that since I ate the pizza I now had to pay for it. I spoke to the co-owner of this establishment and she tried to convince me that there was a misunderstanding and that to be 'fair ', I needed to pay for one of the pizzas. I told her that I was being fair and that I was the one being inconvenienced and had to wait over an hour for my dinner. That 's rude and inconsiderate. There are other restaurants to choose from. Had I known upfront that the pizza would take 1+ hours, I could have patronized another establishment saved the aggravation and discomfort. They knew they were running slower than usual, why didn 't they just tell me upfront that the cook would take over an hour. Not only that, they refused to apologize for making me wait an entire hour for a pizza. It wasn 't busy at all. To top things off, the waiters tried to charge me for the pizza and claimed afterwards that since I consumed the pizza, that I now had to pay for it, when it was clear from the circumstance that they need to apologize and make amends. The waiter, the cook, and the co-owner denied their accommodation and tried to make me pay for the additional pizza, when they knew their mistake caused me extreme emotional distress. All in all, beware. I will never go to this establishment. Whatever happened to customer service. My money would have been better spent elsewhere. Don 't waste your money here. Poor customer service, staff dishonest, and rude. Awful experience. Still upset.
Tucked away along the coast of Moalboal, this spot offers a delightful local experience with vendors, easy beach access, and opportunities to swim with turtles while enjoying the views of Pescadora Island. The patio is the perfect place to catch stunning sunsets.
