This place has been here for a long time. When they first opened, there wasn't a lot of competition. Now there certainly is competition. This was one of the first places to come in and open as the mountain biking revolution started. They've kept things up at a level to be relevant. We were passing through on the way to Bluff. It was the first day of the pre-jeep safari events. Town was getting crowded. Eddie's manage... View all feedback.
What Alby P doesn't like about Eddie Mcstiffs:
Bad vibe when you enter. Those thin little hairs on the back of your neck rise up and you know you're in for a bad experience, but you hope you can beat the odds and make it good. Sit at the bar and have a cocktail. Just about the only place in town you can. Zero service and the food quality is jail mediocre. We wanted to love this place,, but forget it. Needs new ownership, new name, new reputation, new everything.... View all feedback.
My sister and I went for dinner and it was great! we had an amazing server (Amber) that was so sweet and helpful! Got the Chimichurri Sirloin Steak. AMAZING! even the sides were good usually I'm not a fan of restaurant veggie sides because they are bland and mushy but the veggies were so crisp and flavorful! The mashed potatoes were great as well. The steak was probably the best part the Chimichurri gave it a little kick and the steak was hot and juicy. Sister got the cheeseburger and she said it was really good! try the Mojito its great!
This place was very average. The food we had was good, but nothing over the top. The pizza was very filling, couldn't finish the whole thing. The fish and chips were good. The fries were cooked perfectly, and the batter and fry on the fish were done really well but the fish was just okay. They seemed a little busier than they were used to. But our server was excellent. John was perfectly attentive and made sure we were well taken care of.
The Skinny: Large menu, good specials, solid food. The Food: We weren't expecting much coming here given the okay reviews but ended up being pleasantly surprised. The marg was just okay but cheap at 7. Free chips and salsa for checking in (nothing fancy expect store bought chips salsa taste but hey it was free something to munch on). We ordered the cottage pie and garlic burger. Both were quite good cottage pie is basically meat chili with mashed potatoes on top (kinda like a shepards pie) which to me was an amazing combination after a long day. The garlic burger was solid but could have been more garlicy. Overall surprisingly solid food and decent beer selection. They also have happy hour 7 all day marg/mule specials. Atmosphere/service: Friendly fast service. Large location with lots of seating bar space in a ranch themed style restaurant. TVs an outdoor patio good for larger groups. Seemed to be a local watering hole kind of place when we went. Price/value: pretty large portions Would I come back: probably for some beers and bites, but would also want to try some of the other places around before returning.
I had a bad feeling about this place as soon as we walked in the door. It just seemed dirty. Our table was wet and sticky. I ordered the taco plate, my friends ordered burgers. My friends said their burgers were delicious. My taco platter was not delicious and I found a rubber band in the rice. The tacos came with limes. The limes were wet and discolored. In hindsight I should have ignored the limes, but I really like lime juice on my tacos, so I squeezed the juice of one of the limes on a taco. The taco mysteriously took on a margarita flavor, leading me to believe these limes may have previously been in someone's cocktail. The service was horrible. On a positive note, when you check in with Yelp you get free chips and salsa. It's bottled salsa, which lessens your chance of finding foreign objects in it.

It was the first day of the pre-jeep safari events. Town was getting crowded. Eddie's managed that well. The food was the pub grub you expect done well. Even thought the burger was cooked a bit more than I wanted, it was very juicy, and tasty. You could taste the beef. That's unusual. The beer selection good. The service solid. Eddie's deserves its moniker as a local institution.
