It seems they must be quite profitable, as the staff was distinctly rude during my visit.
Originally opened in the 1950s and run by various owners over the years, The Mize Hamburger House has been satisfying hungry patrons for decades. As you step inside, you’ll be welcomed with a warm "hello" and encouraged to take a seat wherever you like. I recommend sitting at the bar top; it’s just a few feet from the grill, allowing you to watch your food being prepared. Honestly, if you’re hungry, it’s almost torturous because you’ll know just how delicious it will be the moment it hits your plate. True to its name, this establishment specializes in burgers—hamburgers, cheeseburgers, bacon cheeseburgers, and double bacon cheeseburgers. Depending on your hunger level, you can order any of these in regular or large sizes. *Warning*: If you opt for the large double bacon cheeseburger, you might want to bring a friend because you might need assistance getting out afterward! In addition to burgers, they offer a variety of sandwiches and plates. No meal is complete without a generous serving of fries, sweet potato fries, or onion rings, right? Now, here’s a key point that you shouldn't overlook: The Mize Hamburger House has bottles of a special yellow sauce called House Sauce that you can drizzle on your fries, burgers, or whatever you like. Listen closely: the Bible says, "on the 7th day, God rested." That may be true, but on the 8th day, God created House Sauce. I’d put that stuff on everything—even ice cream, if I dared! It’s not just "slap-your-mama" good; it’s so good it could make you want to slap your mama, your grandmother, or anyone else you feel like slapping! Trust me on this. So, if you ever find yourself in need of friendly service and amazing food at a reasonable price, head over to The Mize Hamburger House. You and your stomach will be glad you did, I promise!
