Mitchell’s Chicago Pizza serves up a diverse selection notable for its freshness and quality. While the restaurant maintains a clean environment with friendly service, the dining experience can vary. Signature items like the chicken bacon ranch pizza and deep dish varieties impress with generous toppings and crispy crusts. Some diners, however, note that the cheese pizza can be a bit bland, and the breadsticks lack crunch. Expect some wait time for freshly made orders, but with its inviting atmosphere and a hero discount, this eatery is a satisfying stop for those seeking delicious pizza beyond fast food.

That's a pretty average pizza place. Nothing is bad or good. You will get an average price for an average pizza. The staff was good.

They offer a hero discount for various services. I thought the toppings were really fresh-not slimy like some pizza chains. They don't have a lot of sauce on their pizza and of course Chicago style means that it will be baked. The bread sticks are also on the juicy side. So, you can fill faster. They also have a salad bar and some other options on their menu (strombolis). Overall, I thought the quality and quantity per price was directly at the target.

I almost always order a cheese pizza for my review of pizza joints. I mean the cheese is the benchmark for all other variations of pizza. If you can't get the cheese pizza right, you got issues. As such I ordered the 7 cheese traditional. I went inside to order and dine in. When I got inside there wasn't much of a line (you order at the counter). The salad bar and pizza buffet was open. Again I opted for my fresh cheese pizza. The young man that took my order was neither friendly nor rude. Just doing his job. All the workers were wearing masks. I have to say, I have eaten at the French Lick Chicago's Pizza, and done a review for that one. These two are in fact different. Maybe the same ingredients, maybe the same owners, but there is a difference. Inside there is plenty of indoor dining space, a salad bar, and the buffet was open. However it was pretty busy, and the few tables that were open still had food scraps and dirty plates on them. I found one on corner table that was open and clean. The pizza dough has a very mild flavor,  but it does have a slight bread flavor, nothing intriguing. The dough was nothing but chewy. No snap anywhere, not even the crust. The red sauce was also pretty skimpy and seemed bland. Cheese wasn't very oily, but was a bit salty. The flavor definitely came from the cheese. I also had an order of breadsticks, they were also just chewy, no crunch or snap. Very mild flavor. Pros: None Cons: Not super clean if busy, pizza was bland, breadsticks are bland. I would recommend the French Lick Chicago's Pizza if given the choice. Not a horrible experience, but nothing at all stood out.

I usually order a cheese pizza when trying out new pizza places because the cheese pizza sets the standard for all other types. If a place can’t get the cheese pizza right, there’s a problem. So, I went with the 7 cheese traditional. I ordered inside to dine in, and there wasn’t much of a line since you order at the counter. The salad bar and pizza buffet were open, but I stuck with my fresh cheese pizza. The young man taking my order was neutral—not friendly, not rude, just doing his job. All the staff wore masks. I’ve also eaten at the French Lick Chicago’s Pizza and reviewed that location. Although they may share ingredients or ownership, these two restaurants felt different. Inside, there’s plenty of seating, along with a salad bar and buffet, but it was busy. Most open tables still had leftover food and dirty plates. I managed to find a clean corner table. The pizza dough had a very mild, slightly bready flavor, but nothing memorable. It was chewy, with no crispness or snap, even around the crust. The tomato sauce was thin and bland, while the cheese wasn’t greasy but a bit salty, and the main flavor came from the cheese itself. I also ordered breadsticks, which were similarly chewy without any crunch or snap and had a very mild flavor. Pros: None Cons: Not very clean when busy, bland pizza, bland breadsticks If I had to choose, I’d recommend the French Lick location over this one. It wasn’t a terrible experience, but nothing really stood out.

This pizza restaurant is quite average. Nothing particularly impressive or disappointing stands out. The prices are reasonable for the standard pizza you receive. The staff was satisfactory.
