Was Anonym at Mitchell Bakery a mag?
Stayed in Mitchell for a few days and called into the bakery for morning tea and we were certainly not disappointed. The lamingtons were huge, absolutely the best I have ever tasted, and very reasonably priced compared to city bakeries. Husband had the caramel slice and he said that was also very good. Walking down the main street of Mitchell and wondering what we would have for tea, the Mitchell Bakery provided two great meals, highly recommend pizza night
Make sure to try their stop-when-they-go-through croissants. They are fantastic. I enjoyed the beef brisket and mushroom dish with a delicious thick sauce. It was baked perfectly and not too hot to eat without burning my mouth. The custard tart was the best I've had in a long time, with a thick and creamy custard filling. This bakery definitely deserves its award-winning status.
This bakery is fantastic! Their pastries are delicious, especially the bee sting cake. However, the coffee could be improved as it is a weak point.
