The Shack Cafe - Missoula

I will miss this restaurant, I am sad to see it close down. It was a great spot for breakfast and the food was incredibly delicious.

The Shack in Missoula offers the best breakfast in town. In addition to the typical omelettes, they also serve more unique dishes such as trout and eggs, black pudding and eggs, and chicken with jalapeno gravy. The food is delicious, but the atmosphere is equally important. The staff is attentive and friendly, allowing guests to linger for hours with their coffee continuously refilled. I always make sure to stop by The Shack whenever I'm in Missoula, and I recommend others do the same.

We found the worst place in Missoula. it took 1 hour 45 minutes to get our food. there were 3 of us to the breakfast. the waitress didn't even come to the table to notice that our order was missed. when she finally noticed, she took our iced from the bill. no excuse from the manager. no discount except the tees. I'm back. it's so easy to make these mistakes better when the dings happen. very dissatisfied.

Ok over all. food could be a little better .over cooked eggs.

If you are staying in Missoula, MT or just passing through, this is a great breakfast restaurant in downtown Missoula. This restaurant is in an older downtown building which seems to have plenty of architecture and history. We had a typical breakfast meal and received great service although the waitress stated this was her first day. It like this restaurant will either be gone or changing owners based on some of the TripAdvisor reviews, but hopefully that won't change their menu or service.
