I really like Harvey's. This one is located at Burnhamthorpe and Mavis. It's never packed, even the drive though is very fast. Since I'm on a keto diet, I asked for a bun-less burger. It came in a box with a knife and fork. I actually enjoyed it a lot. Like a burger and a wee salad in a box. The salad was fresh so it was perfect to me. Try it out. What Mike Dociu doesn't like about Harvey's:
Man who barely spoke English told me to drive forward rudely after taking my order of 2 burgers and fries…after waiting for 15 minutes I had to drive all the way back around. The food was ice cold and the man who barely spoke English made me wait for no reason other than he was too lazy to walk my order outside. During my recent visit to the drive-thru at night, I encountered a rude employee (a woman who did not provide her name when asked) who kept us waiting for a long time to place our order. Her dismissive tone was quite off-putting. We had a similar experience a few days ago around the same time (1:15 am) and decided to overlook it, but encountering the same attitude again made us feel it was important to leave a review. This is the closest Harvey's to my workplace, but I've been hesitant to stop by due to consistent misrepresentation of promotions, both in the window displays and on the screens. Unfortunately, the staff never apologize or honor the advertised prices. This is the third time I've faced this issue; the last two times were at the drive-thru, and this time I went inside. There was a poster in the window advertising a regular-sized signature poutine for $5.99, but when I ordered it, I was told it would actually cost $8.99. The employee just stated that it was an outdated promotion and explained why they wouldn't honor the price. While I do enjoy their wraps, after this third disappointing experience, I won't be returning to this location again!
The staff at this restaurant were rather unfriendly and unwelcoming, displaying rude behavior. They began clearing away items two hours before closing, and I had to repeat my selection of toppings three times.
The owner appears to be rather thrifty, as employees are instructed to charge an extra 50 cents for each additional topping. Moreover, the debit and credit card machine needs to be repaired to enable tap payments. This raises questions about whether there are concerns regarding pin number security.
Everything was absolutely delicious! The burgers and chicken sandwiches were spot on, and the sides were fantastic as well. The only issues I encountered were that the lemonade, which was supposed to be included with the combo, wasn't provided, and one of the burgers had just a single pickle on it.
