Avani Asian Indian Bistro - Mississauga

This place was called Karma initially and we have been coming here for a number of years. The food is always fantastic, but note that this place gets crowded and then service can be slowly (never bad, but occasionally slow) but quality of food makes up for it. We alternate between regular Indian and hakka and love both. The veg grill platter, the hakka noodles, the kale chaat, the biryani ... oh well, try anything, you will be happy. Their Indianized cocktails are unique and quite nice. And they have kept the quality steady for a long time.

We had booked this place on the occasion of a long awaited family reunion and both the ambience, food and service did not disappoint.We were a group of 9 and ordered all our favourite Indian food- Tandoori, Fish Finger, Chicken Curry and the ever popular Biriyani. The bread basket in the form of plain and garlic naan were complimentary to the main courses in taste. The ambience is nice and the decor contemporary. The service is efficient and the tastes authentic. Come here for a nice Asian Indian dinner and Avani would not disappoint you...

I visited Toronto in May 17 & looked for good Indian restaurants on Google & found this restaurant near my hotel in mississauga. I really liked their starters chicken tikka & mutton seekh kabab with yummy green chutney & in main course their yellow dal & lahsuni nan. Ambiance is perfect service is excellent & rates I can not get even in India in this type of restaurant. Overall good experience, will definitely recommend this restaurant if you love north Indian food.

We are regular diners at AVANI. The atmosphere and decor are very good, service is generally excellent and so is the food. Executive buffet Mon-Friday for $14 is an excellent value. Weekends are extremely busy and service and quality of food sometimes suffers.

My family and I have loved Avani each and every time we have dined there. The food is always fresh and delicious and service has been excellent. Our favourites dishes are definitely the Methi Malai Mutter, the Paneer Tikka appetizer and the Sizzling Tofu, but we try to order different dishes each time as they have a great selection. My family is vegetarian and we find that this restaurant is great for us, but also offers a variety of meat dishes. The only reason i rated Avani a 4 star is because it is a little pricey and also can get quite noisy. Other than that, we absolutely love this restaurant and definitely recommend it!
