Your 'apple frits are incomparable. The size of the small heavenly body, they 'll satisfy even the most hearty appetite. (Seriously, the size of a plate! Crispy on the outside, soft and delicate in the middle... a perfect blend of taste and texture. The only way to make them better? Remove the apple beak. You can't go wrong with this thing! This time I was so disappointed. Donuts of course delicious. The location was definitely a hole in the wall. A way in and a way out. No, where you sit. Was disappointed by the pictures and not exactly. The young lady was so sweet, but they ran out boxes for the donuts and got a dozen was so heavy. She offered a garbage bag, but I disrespectfully refused. View all feedback.
I was really disappointed during my visit this time. The donuts, of course, were delicious, but the location felt like a real hole in the wall—just one way in and one way out, with no place to sit. The atmosphere didn’t match the pictures I had seen, which was disappointing. The young lady working there was very sweet, but they had run out of boxes for the donuts, and the dozen I got was quite heavy. She offered me a garbage bag, but I politely declined.
On the other hand, the small round old-fashioned donut with chocolate icing didn’t impress me much. It was tiny—about a quarter to a third the size of the Long John. While it was okay, it wasn’t anything worth writing home about. I was shocked by the price of this little donut at $2.20. For that price, I expected something bigger or more spectacular. The taste was similar to one you’d find at a convenience store, like QT. Because of its price, I’d give it a generous 2 stars. I understand that ingredient and operational costs have risen, but it just didn’t feel like a good value. That day, I was in the mood for some comfort food and felt a bit indulgent. In the future, I think I’ll stick to the Long John, and probably save it for a special occasion as a rare treat.
$11.24 for 2 long John’s and a glazed. Donuts are good, but not good. I would expect this order to be $6 elsewhere. I would be back more often if it didn't cost an arm and a leg for donuts every time..
I was shocked how expensive these donuts are. I ordered SIX, only SIX Donuts and it was over TWENTY DOLLARS! To be honest. There are too many amazing donuts shops in the city for Lamar's to think that they are worth it. I had donuts everywhere, and if you'd like to ask me that you'd serve me the best donut I've ever eaten, unfortunately not the case. Can't even for the price with the size of donuts, small describes them all. Flavor is decent, but doesn't matter where this place is missing. If they recognize their actual value or make larger donuts... Had higher hopes for them....
I ordered a cream-filled long John and was surprised to find it cost four dollars, not including tax. It was delicious, but I don’t think it was worth that price. The staff was friendly, but I won’t be returning because of the high prices.
