Went here because of Riverdale. Read the reviews first, seeing lots were negative, we didn't get our hopes up. It was busy, maybe a 10 minute wait. The service was great, you can tell the servers all work together. We shared a black cherry milkshake, there was a fair bit of milk so it wasn't too heavy - though I was disappointed to see they use syrups as flavours. What User doesn't like about Rocko's Family Diner:
Not a huge fan but Rocko's is a very popular spot located on the main drag in Mission. Open 24 hrs it attracts a broad demographic from couples to families and car enthusiasts alike. The menu is pretty basic and typical of what you would find in a diner environment. Perhaps I'm a bit of a food snob and that's why I give this restaurant a low rating. This is the first time I had been to this place and been hearing a lot of good things about it that when my friend suggested it last night it was heck yes. The service was fantastic, the food was to die for, full of flavour and delicious. The Milkshake was the best Milkshake that I have ever had. Our waitress Kim was awesome and yes I will be returning and yes I highly recommend this place. #OldSchool #Bestplacetomeetup #Awesome
Went on BC day, it was quite busy but we still got a table quite quickly. It was super busy so the food took a little longer to come out but it was great food... such a big portion for the price. We took some of the food home it was just as good reheated. The milkshakes are some of the best I've had. The service was good, the staff had their hands full but still checked in for refills etc. Will definitely be back... it would be great if they had some music in the diner though.
First time going there with my brother and sister in law and was the best burgers we have ever had. Also have the best shakes !! Highly recommend to anyone !
We often drive by and say That place we have to try. Well we did yesterday and boy are we happy we did. So much history there and a visit from yesteryear. We ordered breakfast. It was so good. Hubby had Alaskan breakfast and I had the Blackrock Bennies. Waitress came back to us and said the cook had made some extra blueberry pancakes would we like them. Yes was definitely the right answer,so good three big beautiful pancakes full of blueberries. Definitely will be back. Good home cooking and great atmosphere.
I stopped by to check out the restaurant and take some pictures! I initially wanted to try the deep fried French toast, but I didn't have enough time and the restaurant was very busy. Instead, I ended up getting a peanut butter milkshake and a t-shirt. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. The milkshake was definitely one of the best I've ever had! I will definitely be returning at some point to actually try the food!
