I've been here for a few years. I must finally admit that it only cafeteria bbq the ribs have not smoothed them as if they were just cooked in a conventional many days and were held there for a few days. the sides are as good as bojangles (quality) if they want the good things, they go to the city bbq on galleria blvd. I've dined here before and the food was excellent, but this time it was greasy and full of fat. The hush puppies were burnt. I was very disappointed.
This restaurant is fantastic! The food is delicious and the customer service is excellent. The portions are generous, with the added bonus of great prices ($8 for a sandwich combo with a side and drink), and the service is very fast. It's the perfect spot for a quick lunch. I highly recommend it.
I ordered through the app and the service was really fast. I got hushpuppies and stew. The hushpuppies were amazing, I liked the big round ones more than the long finger-shaped ones. I also ordered the Brunswick stew, which was good and hearty, although it was sweeter than I'm used to. I would definitely order it again. The only issue was that my order was for takeout and when I went to pick it up, the cashier seemed a bit distracted and forgot to give me napkins, butter, or a spoon. It's partly my fault for not asking for butter for the hushpuppies, but it's common sense to include napkins with each order and a spoon with a single dish. I ended up having to eat my meal without utensils. Just make sure to ask for napkins and utensils, as they may forget to give them to you.

The only issue was that my order was to-go, and although I appreciate that it was quickly prepared, the cashier forgot to give me napkins, butter, or a spoon. It was my fault for not asking for butter for the hushpuppies, but it's common courtesy to include napkins with each order and a spoon with a meal that requires one. I had to drink my stew like a soup. Just make sure to ask for napkins and utensils if they forget to provide them.
The macaroni and cheese was overcooked to the point where it tasted like Chef Boyardee. The hush puppies were undercooked inside, the BBQ was lukewarm but passable. I would not go back to this restaurant.
