I had a bad day and all I wanted was one of their soups and they got my order wrong which happens, but I called and told them and everyone was super nice and they gave me a cookie. Couldn't have asked for better customer service and food!
Dining here is quite different from the usual pasta offerings. The service could be faster; it might help to have more than two registers open. I can't help but wonder why they didn't bring in that girl—it's only 5 degrees outside. That element is crucial to their marketing. Also, the kamin is supposed to be the centerpiece of the restaurant, but it was out of order? That’s quite odd.
I wasn't satisfied with the food. The bread was hard and chewy, which I didn't enjoy. The macaroni and cheese was dry and not what I had anticipated. The meal felt overpriced for what I received. The blueberry muffin on top had a thick, hard layer of sugar crust that was about half an inch thick. Given the amount I paid, I could have gotten a steak dinner that would have tasted much better. All I ended up with was a small sandwich, macaroni and cheese, and a muffin. I won't be returning.
I really enjoy working here! After my shift, I ordered the macaroni bread bowl with a baguette, and I also picked up an entire baguette. My meal was amazing! I just can't get enough of this place!
When we placed our order, we were told they were out of baguettes. However, a few minutes later, while waiting for our food, they brought out fresh baguettes from the oven. I asked if we could have some, and they said no, those were reserved for tomorrow. When I questioned how future customers could be more important than those dining today, Shaun simply responded that it was their policy. It's surprising that their policy prioritizes future customers over taking care of those currently in the restaurant.
