The place is small, and long waits, but the food is great. It's probably the best Cuban food in Minneapolis. I was worried about the place because of how it looks like but the food was surprisingly tasty. The only thing is that the place looks a little dirty. Next time, I'll probably take it to go. What Paul McLellan doesn't like about Victor's 1959 Cafe:
Overrated.Service was average at best, the decor and Vibe was pretty fun, but the food did not live up to the hype. My wife and I got two separate dishes and they both tasted the exact same. Not sure if they are going for a consistent flavor and everything, but some variety would be nice. Meat was a bit gamey. View all feedback.

Amazing Cuban food in a cute little spot. Been around since I can remember and it never disappoints. Service is great!
Awesome job great service and food staff very helpful and friendly great atmosphere support your local business they need us and we need them
We had lunch as they support Dining Out. I had the Cuban sandwich with coleslaw along with beans and rice. Totally delicious! The paella was delicious too! A must stop if you're in the neighborhood. The staff is great too.
Probably the best brunch I've had since moving to the Twin Cities. The decor and general atmosphere mean that you're always going to have a fun time. Favorite dish might be the Dia y Noche. And I can't leave a review without mentioning the house hot sauce. Beyond good. We keep a bottle in our house at all times, and I don't think I can eat eggs any more without it.
