My first time and thought the food was great. I got egusi soup with fufu. The soup is very flavorful and I love the rich, stewy consistency. It?s got the perfect amount of spice. I also got samosas and they?re SO GOOD! Perfect consistency to the samosa and they?ve also got the perfect level of spice. Really nice family, also. I?ll be back for more View all feedback.
What Sirena Hernandez doesn't like about Toni’s African Deli:
It was less than okay. I?m sorry but I loveeeeeee some potato greens, and I have it multiple times a month. This place LITERALLY had a slab of beef fat/bone and a small piece of what I believe is chicken in it. The potato greens also were ALL SPICE no flavor and they don?t even ask what spice level you want. Just rediculous, and my kids and I love spicy food and this just tasted gross. The samosas were okay. Again al... View all feedback.
Ordered Egusi and it’s a NO for me! I usually go to African Deli on Brooklyn blvd but they’re closed on Thursdays (which I never knew) the portion size at Toni’s is super small. The taste is not all that at all! I asked for chicken ONLY in my egusi and the gave me goat ??? I should have paid attention to the 3.7 ratings. African Deli or Milah’s Royal Bistro!!Parking: Parking
Visit from Texas. The place is clean. The jollof rice taste so good. I will be back on my next visit.
I will say the first time I got food from them Dated 2 years ago. I really like it well cook to perfection and affordable. Well 3 years later I went and everything was expensive plus the taste went bad. This isn?t acceptable. Don?t make me starting with the Soya is just completely tasteless lot of hot pepper that is all.
Had egusi with goat meat. Order kpomo/cow skin but it comes on the side, 3 dollars per piece. Egusi was oily, like too oily. The goat meat was chewy, pieces were way too big, not cut to enjoy with eba. Kpomo was abit too hard. I recommend African Deli at 6930 Brooklyn Blvd #13, Brooklyn Center, MN 55429. More variety of meat, cleaner, meat cut well well, food spiced right.
When we arrived, the open sign was still lit, but they informed us that they were closed. This was a disappointing experience in terms of customer service. I’d like to mention that we arrived 30 minutes before closing, not just 10 minutes before. This happened on Saturday, October 28th.
