Taberna Street Tacos - Minneapolis

Claimed to have Porky’s onion rings. Well, they look like them to some degree, but they don’t have the flavor Porky’s had. Most of them didn’t have that puffy soft texture either. Kinda hard to chew. Not bad though. Just not Porky’s.

I’m really happy this place is busy. I like the atmosphere and the outdoor patio is great.I will continue to go there, but the food is definitely a disappointment. The guacamole taste like it comes out of a bag. The cheeseburger is actually better than any of the Mexican food I have had there. Unfortunately, their Margaritas need help too.I would gladly pay 50% more for better food.Despite my negative comments, I truly hope ownership succeeds. They have done a nice job in putting a lively restaurant in the neighborhood.

Cute restaurant near Lake Harriet. It is set in a commercial setting and there are many restaurants around. I chose this one because it has a large outdoor patio and I can't stand the cold air conditioning inside the places during the summer. Good tacos prepared with care and average prices. I recommend it.

Finally came to Taberna and I am mad at myself for not coming here sooner. The service is fast, knowledgeable and friendly. The food- incredible. We had the Taberna Nachos and three kinds of tacos.Carne Asada- steak was seasoned well and not dry.Pork Belly- DELICIOUS. If you eat pork belly, order it.Baja Fish- Huge piece of perfectly fried fish the right amount creamy slaw.So with all this said, here is another huge plus- a rewards program! Scan the QR code on the menu and spin to win! I won a shot. Which happily drank. 10/10
