What mohamed Ibrahim doesn't like about Social House Lounge:
I hate to say this but I have to in order to prevent future incidents to customers. If you're SOMALI don't go this place. The lady( Lensa), who is in charge at this restaurant, hates you because of who you are. She is the worst person I have ever seen in a restaurant. She is disrespectful and rude. View all feedback.
The dining experience is contactless, with menus accessible via a QR code on your phone. I had already looked at the menu in advance, so I placed my order right away. My boozy French toast and lemonade were served shortly after. While the French toast was good, it didn’t pack a powerful flavor punch. It came with a few berries, real whipped cream, and a small pitcher of maple syrup, which elevated it beyond ordinary French toast thanks to the whipped cream and the challah bread. The menu mentioned bourbon bacon caramel, but I couldn’t taste it. Overall, the restaurant is conveniently located near US Bank Stadium, making it a great spot to visit.
However, the pulled pork sliders were a letdown; the buns were soggy, the pork was extremely dry, and honestly, I believe my teenagers could have made a more flavorful dish. The poutine was just average, with nothing remarkable about its presentation. While I wouldn’t say to completely avoid this place, I'd recommend exploring other options before settling on it.
I believe this restaurant has a lot of potential and offers a comfortable atmosphere, but they really need to improve their kitchen. The bacon sampler is a standout—very good bacon, which is what you’d expect given their name. However, the standard breakfast “miners” left much to be desired. The scrambled eggs were dry and seemed almost like they were made from powdered eggs. The plain pancake was just that—plain. It lacked flavor, wasn't fluffy, and was dense and dry. The bacon tots were overcooked in the fryer and would have benefited from a dipping sauce. They were very dry and lacked any bacon bits. On the positive side, the breakfast sausage was tasty, albeit a bit spicy. The coffee was hot and decent. Overall, the experience was fair, but honestly, pancakes, eggs, and tater tots shouldn’t be that difficult to make—I can do better at home. It’s not a terrible place, but it definitely didn’t impress. I would recommend considering Keys and the Hen House instead.
I had an exceptional experience at the bar, which only offered open seating. The service was outstanding, and the food was quite good. The atmosphere was enjoyable, making for an all-around very pleasant visit.
