I have always liked Rojo because it's consistently good. I usually get tacos, burritos or fajitas. I prefer the beef and steak over chicken no matter the dish. The steak is delicious in their fajitas etc. because they season it with unique seasonings. The service is always fast and efficient. The drinks are always great. Took three people at the host stand to check each person in. Their excuse was that they were training someone and she didn’t know what she was doing. She couldn’t even say hi will be right with you. She just stood there while the line went out the door to check in at 4:45 PM. Rojo is my favorite Mexican restaurant! Everything I've had is delicious.
This place does not authentic Mexican food, but I think it's better.
We enjoyed the guacamole and salsa. The medium guacamole and it was fairly spicy. Each person ordered a different kind of enchiladas and tacos and then we traded around so that everyone could try several kinds. We were severed quickly which would be good for people who have an evening engagement. Our only complaint was that it was quick noisy which made it difficult to hear each other at our table.
Server was very nice and attentive. Great cocktails. Good place to people watch along with the sounds of the city (sitting outside ) I would go again if I'm in DC.
Happy hour only available at the bar. Proportions are small and not filling. Overall Delicious food but not enough for the price.
