This restaurant in Minneapolis is definitely worth the hype, especially if you can snag a reservation. As a vegan, I was pleasantly surprised by the vegan options available. All the veggie dishes are clearly marked as vegan if they don’t contain meat. What Carter Stone doesn't like about Owamni By The Sioux Chef:
Food is not as good as I hoped. Every dish was either overly salty, flavorless, too oily, or just not great. But, the staff was kind and knowledgeable, and the space is quite nice. Go once to see if you like the food, take in the great views, and enjoy the vibe. View all feedback.
This restaurant in Minneapolis is definitely worth the hype, especially if you can snag a reservation. As a vegan, I was pleasantly surprised by the vegan options available. All the veggie dishes are clearly marked as vegan if they don’t contain meat. The flavors are delightful, offering a good mix of carb-rich, sweet, and savory options, though they might not be for picky eaters. Unfortunately, the vegan dishes are a bit low on protein, primarily relying on some beans, but everything is delicious and satisfying. The non-alcoholic house cocktails are also vegan and very tasty. I’ve heard some complaints about the restaurant, but I personally have had a great experience. So, if you're from Minnesota, come with an open mind and enjoy!
We had a family meal with a variety of dishes, and some stood out. The three sisters dish, summer berry salad, and roasted sweet potatoes were particularly delightful. However, the favorite among everyone was definitely the cedar and maple baked beans. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!
There are so many options available, and everything is gluten-free! The food is incredible, so be sure to make your reservations in advance. The restaurant offers a beautiful view of the river, and you can stroll along the Stone Arch Bridge before or after your meal. The dining experience is fantastic, with a unique and harmonious combination of flavors.
So good! eating is unique and interesting. they must experience this place! it is hard to get a reservation, but the terrace tables are coming first.
This native-owned restaurant offers decolonized foods right downtown Minneapolis. The menu is super easy to use, the staff is absolutely amazing, and parking wasn't hard to find at all! Right now, reservations are highly recommended but outside seating is first come first serve, and if you get on the waitlist- it usually isn't that long of a wait. Go with a big group, so you can try a little of everything! I got the garden sisters and the black beans were seasoned perfectly.
