I was asked to review a place where I had a beer over five months ago. Since my memory is not the best, here is my review: I enjoyed the beer, which was served promptly in a clean glass (I can't remember the exact type, but it was definitely clean). Ordered the Nighthawks Cheeseburger $14) and was disappointed. The bun was large for the burger meat, felt like I was eating more bread than the rest of the burger. It was also a messy burger to eat. French fries were okay; I got more burnt pieces than I would like. Service was okay. Took almost 30+ minutes to get our food which was annoying. Server was nice and apologized for the delay. We love the cool atmosphere and delicious food and drinks at this restaurant, making it a regular stop for us.
This restaurant has some nice seating options and a friendly staff who kept refilling my water glass promptly. However, the Truffle Fries were more crunchy than crispy with little fluffy potato inside. The Short Rib Bourguignon was on the salty side, particularly the seasonal veggies and beef gravy. The bacon lardon pieces would splinter when chewed. The short rib itself was tender and juicy, but had a high fat-to-meat ratio. Overall, it was a decent but average dining experience.
I didn't have a chance to try the food this time, but I will definitely be returning as the menu looked very appetizing.
