Great food and service. Another thing I also really appreciate is that I can have a conversation with the people I am dining with and actually hear them. The acoustics are much better than other restaurants, even when it is busy. Definitely would recommend! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Mccormick Schmick's Seafood Steak:
Server was friendly and helpful but seemed to be not around when we needed her. Food was not great. Apps of mussels and calamari were both barely warm. Entrees were mixed. Scallops were ok but also not hot although the seabass was hot. Pacing of the food was very slow. View all feedback.
The food was absolutely fabulous. And our server was one of the best people I’ve ever come in acquaintance with. I believe his name was -AJ. He said he hadn’t been working there too long, but he was an absolute jewel of a server. You gotta find a way to keep him! We’ll be back!
Oyster has some sands in it, which needs to be improved.
Lucky us! We made a super late, last minute dinner reservation for 2 people at 10pm and looked forward to a yummy dinner. When we got there, the poor staff were closing up as it was closing time. HOWEVER...ta da. Save the day! The manager warmly welcomed us in. He gave us a choice of any table in the entirely empty place and served us a fabulous meal, cocktails and offered us supremely kind hospitality. What a testimonial to his generosity, welcome and kindness. Might be good for OpenTable and the restaurant to adjust the actual open/close times. No complaints and thank you for treating us with such kindness! -Carol and Matt
Even though there were tons of open tables, the service was not great. Our waiter dropped off our drinks and the grilled oysters appetizer, and then didn’t come back to the table to get our dinner order for over 20 minutes. My husband got what was supposed to be sablefish, and even though he is never picky, the fish was so rubbery and smelled and tasted so fishy, he couldn’t eat it. The waiter checked back 25 minutes after we got our food, and took it back to the kitchen, and came back out and said it was sea bass. (It was not sea bass. The waiter asked him to order something else and my husband ordered shrimp and grits (very good . The manager came over and apologized and said the fish was correct and just had not been cooked to the right temperature. Get your story straight! We still were charged for the second dinner. Very disappointing for a place we used to really like.
The service and food were both excellent. We were grateful for the staff's accommodating nature with regards to the wheelchair.
