Kyatchi has been on my list for a few years and we finally hit to go. The next week I found myself wondering if it was too soon to go back. For drinks o had their house ginger ale and loved it. If you’re thinking of bottled ginger ale, this is not that. This is more like a ginger shot for a juice place but with other flavors and mellow enough to sip. My wife had a glass of wine that was meh. We ordered the potstickers and they are cooked in true pit sticker style, cooked on a dry pan then steamed. The wrappers felt hand made but I didn’t confirm. My wife got a couple sushi rolls that she loved and I ordered a hit fig that was delicious. The hotdogs are long and hard to eat but really tasty. They don’t cone with American style condiments but whatever you ordered (mushrooms or avocado and egg salad for example). Really glad we went. I think we’ll go back, probably this year. Incredibly disappointing and downright irritating. If it had been half the price I would have been still disappointed. But at the prices they were charging, it 's just plain obscene. Just take a look at that salmon in the picture, and that will tell you everything. No self respecting sushi restaurant would let that go on a plate. I 've had much better at grocery stores. Ironic that there is no tipping and they charge extra for service, because the service was awful. And the place was not busy at all. It was probably 3 in the afternoon. I 'm sure the waitress was hindered by the kitchen. They didn 't seem capable of making more than one thing at once. Food just kept trickling out. We finally had to just give up and leave after like an hour and a half of half bites, and so one in our party had to take his ramen to go. The ramen that we did get was just plain amateur hour. The whole place was just amateur. Funny that they talk about sustainable , because a restaurant that is this mediocre is really going to be hard to sustain. Wish I could add something positive, but really can 't. Don 't fall for it. There are so many good sushi restaurants in the area that would be a better choice. We saw Oshi on the menu and got excited but it was a let down compared to other places. Its a super expensive dish $25 per order) that feels like they cut a lot of corners to make. We’re hoping to give them another chance. The happy hour is worth it though! Service: Takeaway Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
