El Mexican - Minneapolis

Inside the Lake Plaza, you will find this authentic Mexican Restaurant. The food was delicious. We try the Mexican steak, la Carne Asada and the Chicken Quesadilla. The athmosphere in this Plaza is like been in Mexico. Come and visit the Plaza, buy some mexican souveniers, enjoy some delicious food and then treat yourself with a delicious dessert.

Real authentic, you can tell by the rice and beans alone

The enchiladas were amazing! Can’t recommend them enough. And as a fan of refried beans, these were some of the best I’ve had! Friendly staff and food was served hot and fresh. No beer or wine, but definitely worth a stop!

I really liked the food. We loved it. My daughter liked her Milanese chicken cake and my husband liked her barbacoa chimichanga and my shrimp with garlic mojo. We are going to return here with our other two children.

This was the one of those rare times when my expectations were pleasantly surpassed. ordered out via uber eats: burrito was super delicious (very well rolled, I also liked that they carefully cut it in half), and so were the shrimp tacos. great side of handmade nachos and nice salsa verde, too! all in all, 1) not greasy as it can be with Mexican food quite sometimes, 2) good and flavorful portions and, of course, 3) authentic Mexican street food highly recommended!
