Burrigato - Minneapolis
Burrigato
Description
A compact, student-friendly spot serving Thai–Japanese fusion burritos and bowls—think an Asian Chipotle—celebrated for bold flavors, a standout Panang curry and authentic krapaow. Owners and staff are repeatedly praised for friendly, fast, community-minded service, generous portions and good value. Recent menu tweaks (removing chicken cooked into the Panang) have split regulars, but fresh ingredients, customizable toppings and steady improvements keep it a popular quick-eat destination near University Ave.

The staff were incredibly helpful and guided us through every step since it was our first visit. The service was quick and efficient, and the dishes were both delicious and affordable. Highly recommended!
The restaurant offers unique burritos crafted by incredibly friendly owners who take the time to share their passion for their creations! It's a new establishment, and I hope to see it thrive and reach its full potential!
I've been driving to this restaurant for over a year, and it keeps getting better. The improvements they've made are remarkable. The portion sizes are generous, and the food is always fresh. The staff is fantastic—friendly and genuinely engaging with the local community. With their recent enhancements, they can now better meet demand; I haven't seen them run out of a dish in quite some time, whether I arrive right when they open or just before closing. They also offer good value for the area. Personally, I find $1 for an egg a bit steep, so I rarely order it, but their standard menu prices are reasonable. Overall, it's a wonderful place to enjoy a great meal with delicious food.
I really enjoyed the Thai and Japanese twist on burritos! To put it simply, it's like an Asian version of Chipotle. The flavors were fantastic, with just the right amount of spice. It's definitely worth a visit!
Honestly, the food there is great! I've been to Burrigato more than a few times and every single time I am greeted upon very warmly. My first time there they patiently answered our inquiries (I was with a group that time) on the food and allowed us to taste test the food. I highly encourage anyone seeking out a friendly place (not to mention great food) to head over here. They have options that vary in spiciness, so if you don't want spicy food you can still get something. They also have a vegetarian option as well as a bowl option.
