Really cute spot with nice decor and a nice patio view, we split the spicy chicken flatbread and beet and feta salad which was a perfect amount of lunch for two people. The beet salad was especially delicious, the feta cheese was very good.
Unbeatable service, food, and location for the price. Everything from the cocktails to the food is well thought out, memorable, and tasty. I highly recommend the Aster club sandwich. All the ingredients are noticeably high quality which lends itself to the whole experience of Aster Cafe too: classy and cozy. The outdoor seating area is magical: European style, colorful, and with a gorgeous view of the skyline. Great for people watching. This place is a must-go if you have friends who are new to the area, and is just as quintessential for us locals. They often have live music as well. No complaints, an easy five stars.
Delicious food! Great service! Friendly, fast, even offered to take a pic for us Avocado toast was the best I've ever had
We stopped by for drinks and dinner because our friend, Jay Roberts, was performing that night (what a fantastic show!). The atmosphere was ideal for a date—dimly lit, with a charming rustic and eclectic vibe that felt cozy. I've heard wonderful things about the patio during the summer, but I guess that's a missed opportunity for this year. I ordered the winter pear salad, which was fresh and quite enjoyable, offering a nice variety of flavors and textures in a moderate but satisfying portion. My date had the basil flatbread, essentially a round, thin-crust cheese pizza, which was decent but rather basic. For vegetarians, you'll likely find something decent on the menu, although it leans toward the peripheral. Unless you're in the mood for a hummus plate, I think my plant-based friends might be left with limited options. I enjoyed my meal and would probably come back, but it was surprising that the signature dishes were primarily meat-based, missing the chance to showcase a more contemporary menu. As for drinks, the Chartreuse Swizzle and the Cucumber Cutie were both excellent choices.
We arrived around 5 PM on a Saturday and were able to easily find a seat outside. This restaurant offers a wonderful ambiance, complemented by a solid menu of both food and drinks. The banh mi was good, as was the cauliflower dish. Our waiter was excellent, and the service was prompt. We truly enjoyed our experience and plan to return soon.
