I was there twice with my wife. We love their meeting Mozzarella Sandwich. We also tried fish and chips, burgers and salad and we enjoyed. You have a signed tartaric acid sauce. The staff was very nice and helpful and the lake view was amazing. Very recommended. View all feedback.

The Caesar salad had an absurdly small amount of dressing, leaving us with nothing but dry romaine leaves. On the positive side, they were willing to provide extra dressing upon request. The much-lauded lobster ravioli was merely average. As for the $40 chicken scaloppini, it tasted like something you'd find at a random pub: dry, breaded chicken smothered in a thick brown gravy they call marsala sauce. Even the complimentary bread was lackluster—just bland pita bread, possibly the worst I've encountered at a so-called fine dining establishment. The only bright spots of the evening were the attentive service and the delicious tiramisu.

When you arrive, the check-in process is straightforward. Simply provide your room number and the time of your reservation, and the staff will escort you to your table. The menu isn't extensive, which may be a relief for diners who find it challenging to choose from a wide selection. They offer a kids' menu for $13, which includes a side, main dish, drink, and dessert. There are also vegetarian and vegan choices available. Overall, the food was delicious and beautifully presented, though it is on the pricier side. My favorite dish of the evening was surprisingly the fried beets, which were delightfully crispy. However, we did encounter an issue with the tiramisu; the bottom was quite hard, indicating it wasn't fresh. We were able to get a refund for that, but it was a disappointing experience. We felt a bit uncomfortable as luck would have it that we ended up with the same server we had a complaint about during our first visit to the resort. While all other staff members were wearing masks, ours only wore a face shield, which was unsettling since he was very tall, and we worried about the potential for droplets. Given these concerns, we are unlikely to return to this restaurant in the future and might opt for cooking in our room if we ever decide to book at the resort again.

This review focuses solely on the pizzas and salads. The pizza was akin to frozen grocery store varieties, featuring a soft crust and lacking any distinctive flavor. The salads were somewhat better, but given the price, I would recommend skipping these options altogether. The hotel itself and the staff are fantastic, but when we booked and were informed that this was fine dining Italian, I expected much more. Unfortunately, it was neither fine dining nor authentic Italian cuisine. Again, the service was very kind (though a bit slow), but overall, it just didn't meet expectations.

So this place was just okay. Teca was open one of the days we were at the JW Marriott. It gets style points for ambiance and good mood lighting and the artisan bread and balsamic vinaigrette while waiting for our food but that 's about it. At $15 a glass, I didn 't expect for my glass of wine to taste like it was in a refrigerator (uncorked) for three days, but it did. Our server told us halfway through our dinner that we could order cocktails from the hotel bar that would 've saved me $15 for something tastier. The restaurant was barely busy, but it took what felt like a slow eternity to get our food. I had the lobster ravioli that wasn 't bad but a gentle reminder of why I don 't pay for Italian food while eating out. Not the worst, but not the best or something that contained a wow factor especially for the price . They do, however, get a gold star for providing a salad as an appetizer for the kids meal. God bless the civilized children who eat caesar salad. My 5 and 3 year old kids don 't that saved my husband and I money on an appetizer.

Everytime we stay at this resort we eat at Teca! Always has a good fine dinning atmosphere, charming servers and awesome food! We tried many items on this trip and everything was effortlessly executed. If you order the risotto you get a lot of value and a heaping portion. All their pastas are freshly made in house. In the photos are the appetizers scallops, ricotta artichokes, fried rice ball), the main courses lamb, risotto, lobster ravioli) and dessert tiramisu, hibiscus panacotta).

I requested fresh basil on my pizza, but they substituted spinach instead. Another person ordered arugula, and they received watercress. I'm not sure what has changed in the kitchen, but I can't say this is authentic Italian cuisine or worth the service. For dinner, the price per person is around CA $50–60.

This place has genuine potential, which makes the negative reviews all the more disappointing. Some dishes really stand out while others fall flat. For instance, the lamb ragout was excellent, but the lobster ravioli left much to be desired. The antipasto board was quite good—there was plenty of food, and it was flavorful, though the presentation could use some improvement. The drinks were enjoyable but on the pricey side. I believe that lowering their prices by 10-15% could also help improve their reviews.

I enjoyed a fantastic dining experience tonight at “TECA.” The atmosphere was beautifully romantic, with dim lighting and exceptional service. Every course we had was outstanding. We will definitely be returning! Thank you, Jay T. Warsh, for the photos (@WarshFoodie on Instagram).

This is the best restaurant at the JW Hotel! The pasta and pizza options make it very family-friendly. If you're craving a pasta dish that's not on the menu, just ask your server, and they'll do their best to accommodate you. The lamb ragu was a highlight of the meal, while the beet carpaccio had more salad than beets, which was a bit misleading given the name. However, it was still enjoyable. The portion sizes for the pizzas and pastas were generous, and the waitstaff were very friendly!

Very good food, beautiful atmosphere and amazing service. One of our party ordered wings and they weren’t ready with the rest of our food so the server brought her a free caesar salad and fries to munch on while she waited. When her wings arrived they were a little overcooked. So when the server asked she told him. When the cheque arrived they also dropped off a takeout order of freshly made wings. Great service!

Great menu and food was divine. Ambiance was great for families and for couples. Love the free bread as starters, it was crispy and cheesy. Enjoyed my lamb with rissoto, lamb was buttery and soft, cooked to perfection! Food and beverage manager, Marc made our dining experience extra special but ensuring that my two boys had an enjoyable time as well.
