as was the time of spasm, we had the economical ham from the season map and the jägerschnitzel from the regular map. both were good and I could have given a further portion of a spasm that was tender and spicy with a...sweet taste View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Kaisersaal:
Nicely decorated restaurant with traditional German dishes. Not a wide selection of beginners, but a wide selection of main courses. The Jaeger schnitzel I had was delicious. Service was a little on the slow side that took away from the night. View all feedback.
Booking a room for a family meeting was easy to make an appointment to discuss a suitable meal. Upon arrival to talk about the menu, the first leaving to appear over 15 minutes for the cook and asked without apology or explanation about the food. After graduation he disappeared without thanks or farewell. On the day there were insufficient parking, and we did not find any where we hang our coats. The cook, though sitting at the bar drinking with others, hasn't taken care of asking if everything is okay, nor has he recognized our presence. Service: Two waiters tried their best to be efficient while serving, starter: “wedding soup”. Although hot it does not impress with little taste and less ingredients. Main course: Plates and dishes cold, food cooled quite fast. 3 different meats, different vegetables and selection of sauces for all tastes. Vegetables. Meat tasty, vegetables ok....4 different sauces, pepper sauce extremely spicy, curry sauce thick and bad taste, the other 2 ok but lukewarm. Dessert: ice cream with fruit, taste and fresh fruit! Beverages: Originally served quickly, but last drink lasted over 30 minutes to arrive.
Since it was the asparagus (white asparagus) season, we had the asparagus sinking from the season menu and the Jaegerschnitzel from the regular menu. Both were good and I could definitely have done with another help from asparagus, which was delicate and tasteful with a Hollandaise sauce on the side. The waitress was helpful (even if we don't speak German). We came to the main station and it was a 10 min (or so) ride by taxi.
We went to the Kaisersaal with 8 people. The food was German and average, but the ambience was good. This is not a place where you want to cancel your visit. While on holiday, your time is far too valuable to waste on this moderate restaurant.
If you ever find yourself in the little city of Minden, you should get out of the old town center because there aren't a lot of dining options there. Tucked...
