Nice place for lunch in Minden. It is attached to antique shop that gives the restaurant a unique homely feeling. The food is good and the service is very friendly. We had Pad Thai and Massaman Curry, both with chicken. Tea is served in unique English teapots and the open kitchen complements authenticity and aroma. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Wild Orchid Thai:
Excellent mushrooms Thai soup. The beef dishes were fine, but there was no additional note to remove them from their competitors. The general menu offer was satisfactory. View all feedback.

Food quality is good and lets face it there is not a lot to choose from in Minden..lol Portion was fine and service very good. .I will give them another try and would have given 4 stars if not for the value.
We spend time in Minden every summer and Wild Orchid is a must stop at least once per visit. Who would think in the little town of Minden a restaurant would serve such good Thai food. I suppose it helps that the owner is from Thailand and supposedly travels to Toronto each week for fresh ingredients. The Pad Thai is one of our favourite choices as well as the seafood red curry dish. They also have an excellent assortment of apps. My only suggestion is that reservations are basically a requirement to get in, as it's always busy. The only negative is that service can be slow at times, but the food is worth the wait.
Food was semi-tasty. The waitress forgot all about my daughter's order, so she ate well after we were done. No apology. My mother in law's chicken satays were raw in the middle. We pointed it out to the waitress, she seemed unconcerned that they served raw chicken. Again, no apology, no accountability, no replacing a half-eaten meal. The cheesecake was frozen solid, and we had to take it home to thaw. Not much effort there. Since we were almost the only ones in the restaurant, you'd think that it would be important to them to make their customers happy. No such luck. Think twice before going.
