I visited this restaurant to celebrate my wedding anniversary. I am always impressed by the delicious dishes. They explained the ingredients and how to enjoy each dish. Thank you very much.

After seeing the show Iron Chef, I always wanted to go to the restaurant of my favorite Iron Chef Sakai. This was not a disappointment. The menu blended Japanese cuisine with Sakai's deft touch for the French. The ingredients were not just Japanese based but French as well, with French styled sauces and broths adding to the mix. The atmosphere was formal, the staff were formal and professional and yet friendly. They spoke English well enough for me, with my small touch of Japanese, to communicate well. I was, I believe, the only person in the restaurant not from Japan, and I was treated no different that I could tell. It was a classic seven course meal. My favorite was the White Asparagus Mousse appetizer, the taste of which I will remember forever, and I loved the pairings of the wine with various courses of the meal. I found only one thing that was a miss for me. But considering the length of the meal two hours and the amount of ingredients that went into the meal, I loved the entire experience. It is pricey, but it was well worth it for me. I visited only one Iron Chef restaurant during my two weeks in Japan it was Sakai's. So I cannot speak to the quality of the restaurants of the other Iron Chefs, but as was the case on the show, I do not believe any of them will be able to best Sakai.

It was close to the place where I worked in the past, so I was interested in the place, and I made a reservation. However, I enjoyed everything because it was very good for the interior, such as background music and conversation with sommelier. It was not known as Mush Sakai shop. The dish was a first-class dish, especially the sirloin steak was juicy, soft, and I wanted to try it. I went to Geoakarian, Bobby Fray and Morimoto. I think it is ideal for dating and special occasions, but it is well suited for groups, and I think it is also good for gathering with friends that I can’t care about.
