Chan's Steakery - Milwaukie

I really wanted to like Chan’s. They have an Egg Foo Yung I like because it takes me back to a childhood memory but everything else we ordered we won’t order again, including the orange chicken. We were a party of six and none of us liked our orders. It’s usually pretty empty in the restaurant but the bar seems busy.

First time here, restaurant and bathrooms were very clean. Staff was great. Food was just ok. Would go again for Singapore Noodles, but most dishes were bland.

The portion sizes here are enormous. I always have enough to fill me up for dinner, and enough left over for lunch or dinner another day. And the food is good. Spicy when it says it will be, and not when the dish is not. I always order to pickup and it is always ready and waiting when I arrive.

Huge menu full of delicious choices, friendly service, roomy dining area, large patio, large parking lot, clean bathrooms, video slots available.

My wife and I were there for dinner, we opted to dine in the bar rather than the dining room, the bartender was our waiter. He wasn't particular quick or attentive. We both ordered the ribeye steak medium rare, the steaks were properly cooked but my wife's steak was not very tender. The atmosphere was good but not exceptional.
