Milwaukee's best Mexican food. Damn good chips salsa. Staff is excellent. Will travel from near southside to eat here. Just as good as the old Acapulco that was on 6th National Ave. back in the day. Yum yum! View all feedback.
What Tina R doesn't like about La Fuente Restaurant:
Service was great that's where the greatness stopped. Bland food drenched in a melted shredded yellow/white cheese blend. Having so much cheese just gave everything a weird greasy taste. The chips salsa were good. Unfortunately they were not good enough to try this restaurant again. Sadly Taco Bell tastes better. The one start is for the server who was friendly attentive. Some staff needs to be re-educated on how to... View all feedback.
Milwaukee's best Mexican cuisine. Damn good chips salsa. The staff is excellent. Will travel from close to south to eat here. As good as the old Acapulco, who was on the 6th National Ave. Yum yum!
What happened to this place? Always came here. Very racist I am a white woman and was served before any black couple in my area waiting for drinks or food order. In addition, the cartridge Margaritas (who serves its highest margarita) in a plastic glass. I was told by her manager Joe who took his apron there? Every restaurant I visit in the area of Milwaukee does not have this problem.
Great place to eat authentic Mexican cuisine. Portions are generous. Colorful atmosphere. They have inner and outer seats, both with their own wells. Inside seating colorful decor and many seats large or small. The interior can be a little cool. Outdoors has colorful fabric tarps and table screens to shade from the sun. Largest seating outside is 6 seat table. Beautiful flowers accent the area along with a few privacy walls on the flowerbeds.
After a full day of traveling back and forth and driving all over the place my husband wanted to grab some Mexican food. Quick Google maps search and happened on La Fuente. As you can see we started eating before I could take photos. My husband really liked the stuffed mushrooms, they were delicious! The burrito and tacos were very good too. Neither of us could finish and had extra to take home. Service was a tad slow, but the food was very good and made up for it. The interior was very unique and I loved the indoor fountain. That was a very nice touch! Tables felt sticky, probably needs to be degreased. Menus smelled like beer, felt wet. Chair had some rice on it.
La Fuente is always a hit with my family. You have a wide range of options from single tacos or burritos to tempt plates from enchiladas and combos. I always get Fajitas because I love her Fajitas! And if you are for an adult drink, they have great margaritas. Chimichangas were popular today. Like the shrimps. Almost every record was clean.
