This place used to be The Old Johnny V's Classic Cafe.It is a much better place now that they changed the name to 84th Classic Cafe and the ownership. When it was Johnny V's Classic Cafe, the service sucked and the food went down the drain. Now that it is 84th Classic Cafe and the ownership has changed, the food is Good and the service is better.I recommend giving this place a tryParking: A Free parking lot View all feedback.
What Kari B doesn't like about Johnny V's Classic Cafe:
Johnny Vs reminds me of the Greek diners around town with their huge menu that has a little bit of everything and something for everyone. I stopped in for a late breakfast on a Friday morning and have no complaints. My breakfast was good; nothing spectacular, but not bad either. The waitress was friendly and on top of it. Very friendly and good food. Service is good, not great. Family eats there on average 2 to 3 times a month. It's worth the time. Please note: 24 hours no longer open! According to other reviews, I should add that we have been here for years and 99% of the time is great! Everyone once in a blue moon service is a little poor, or the taste of the food is something off. And there are times that help is loud. However, if you are looking for a friendly place to eat, it is. Sometimes things are broken, but be honest: isn't your kitchen away from time to time?
The waitress I think her name was Tanya was so friendly and marvelous. She let me test the sausage sword before I ordered the cookies and Gravy meal. She kept my coffee hot and was just so good for us. Thank you.
Very good food. I ordered the banana nip waffle, which is under their treats on the menu. Cosy and cool atmosphere with plenty of seating. The staff was very fast and friendly. We're in and out. I'll go back there. My fiancé got a grilled cheese that was much more than your usual grilled cheese and tomato soup and she said it was really good.
Quantity: over abundant! Quality: super! Don't order until you see what you get. Prices are not cheap, but you get more than you pay. Staff: really nice!
4rd time returning for Home Style cooking in this 2 month period. Generous portions! After the delicious chowder, bread salad, I had almost a full meal to get home! My Senior Meal choice was 1/2 roasted chicken, mashed spuds made with sour cream peelings left in, whole kernel corn, and cheese cake for dessert. Senior meals are for folks ages 60 years plus, reasonably priced, if you're on a budget. Waitress checked back on us frequently very friendly.
