Stopped by for lunch after a friend recommended it. Hadn't been there in years, long before it was the Upper 9. The food was very good, great fries. Don't pay attention to the menu pic posted here. Foods mostly the same but prices way higher, as is everyone's. Definitely stop by again. View all feedback.
What krista fracker doesn't like about The Upper 9:
Weirdest experiences! Food was good although lacking variety. It was the oddest dining experience ever. We had to sign for card on the servers cell phone, doesn't seem hygentic and we only received one napkin per person. Based on the service and atmosphere I didn't expect much with the food, in fact we would have left but we're so hungry. The food was great! So it's overall achievement is good food and being an odd l... View all feedback.
I visited this restaurant for the first time and found it quite empty, which is how I prefer dining out. The service was prompt and efficient, and everything was made fresh. I ordered a burger and fries, and my meal arrived in about 10 minutes—impressive!
The experience was quite unusual! The food was good, but it lacked variety. It was the strangest dining experience I've ever had. We had to sign for our card on the server's cell phone, which didn't feel very hygienic, and we were given only one napkin each. Given the service and atmosphere, I didn't have high expectations for the food, and honestly, we were considering leaving but were too hungry to do so. Fortunately, the food turned out to be great! Overall, it was a unique little restaurant with good food.
Great food at fair price. Reasonable variety. Chairs VERY HARD to scoot... Especially for old people. They need glides on them. Toilet is so low and no grip bars was very unfriendly for people who are compromised physically.
Each time I gather in the MF area with friends we choose to meet at some point at the Upper 9! The place is always clean, the staff friendly, the food drinks perfect! There is a larger indoor dining area, an outdoor dining area on the deck with a view of the golfing area, and a nice indoor bar between the two. They are very accommodating for small and larger groups. We have held planning meeting for 6-12 people and HS classmate events for up to 60+ people. We may make reservations months in advance, they push tables together for larger groups, bring on more staff, and handle us with ease! I have enjoyed eating there all times of the day. If you have not been to the Upper 9 for meals (including breakfast! you have to stop in. This is a favorite of the locals as well as people who visit and pass through the area. Vegetarian options: They menu is well written, they are happy to adjust any items so as to accommodate all diets. Dietary restrictions: The menu is diverse, they are happy to adjust any items so as to accommodate all diets. Parking: There are a few parking spots in the front of the building and a large gravel parking lot across the street. Kid-friendliness: It is listed as a restaurant; however, I never have seen any children in the dining areas. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a nice ramp and strong handrail to the right side of the building for wheelchairs or people who have issues with steps.
Sadly, our server was rude and it just made the experience poor. Everything we asked or said seemed like an inconvenience. She was missing most of the time and we would have liked refills, more napkins, etc.Next. Food was lackluster. Bacon and hash browns are thin like paper, waffle was flat like a silver dollar pancake. Coffee was light and weak. Small portions.Positives. The prices are very affordable. Iced tea was good, they had drinks with lids for kids and to go, tables and chairs were clean and comfortable. This was a sad review for me to write because MF needs friendly, American, family options. This just won’t be one we’ll support.Golf course and outdoor seating look nice. I think if you stopped in for a beer and a round of golf, that experience would be fine.
