This place is beyond expectations. Tucked away in Milton you'll find a spot that will leave you talking about when you'll be back. The bartender is welcoming, cheerful, and witty. The food that comes from the kitchen should be featured on a tv show. I can't believe we found this place. I would recommend it to anyone ready to have a new experience with flavor profiles and phenomenal service. Family owned and down to e... View all feedback.
What Traci F doesn't like about Cantina Ultima:
Terrible service, rude employees. I definitely would NOT recommend this place. The first thing the hostess said to us as we walked in was cash only . Not hello, how are you, etc. It was a disappointing experience considering I was looking forward to the food. View all feedback.
This restaurant is hands down my favorite of all time, and I am truly fortunate to have it right in my neighborhood. The menu is always evolving depending on what fresh ingredients are at their peak, and the chef's creations are dynamic, original, and always ALWAYS crafted to his highest standards. You can tell that he takes pride in every item served and will never compromise on quality for the sake of time or money. It's hard to believe this restaurant is a two person operation(chef and di ing area/bar manager), as the product being put out is like something you would only see on the TV. Its counter service at this small restaurant, so plan on enjoying an amazing cocktail, local craft brew, or friendly conversation with the bartender or some other locals while you wait for an amazing meal. I recently hosted my brothers bachelor party there, and pre ordered a barbacoa platter for the six of us to share. Every person there left full, satisfied, and in disbelief that small town Milton had a chef putting out food of that calibre. If your looking for standard pub fare, French fries, and rushed service, this is not your place. If you are looking for a dining experience where the food and the cocktails will do all of the talking, do your self a favor, sip on a Kegged cocktail and let the chef and his wife expose you to some true culinary awesomeness!
We love the food here. Innovative, high quality ingredients prepared by a chef who knows his stuff! We only wish we lived closer to visit more often. It's a small place so reservations are highly recommended remember to check their hours before just stopping in
Had a great meal this evening. I had the Ugly American burger which is a great name for a burger in a Mexican influenced restaurant, and the burger itself was outstanding. All of the food here is great. My timing isn't always great when I visit Milton and I find that I'm looking for a great meal on a Sunday when Cantina is closed, but tonight was a lucky opportunity for a rare Thursday visit to Milton, and my wife and I jumped at the chance to eat at Cantina. If you are in Milton and looking for a great meal, didn't hesitate to go to Cantina. You will not be disappointed, but bring cash (or go across the street to the M&T bank), they don't take credit cards.
I liked the restaurant, until the last time the owner was a complete jerk to my husband BEFORE he even sat down! So, I now vow to not go back. I liked their food up until then!
Best bartender around. The chef creates outstanding dishes that never fail to bring a smile to my face. Love what they do here. This restaurant is magical and brings MUCH needed life to Milton.
