This place is strictly pho based so if you’d want a variety of food like fried rice or something, go elsewhere but if you do decide to dine in, the pho is really delicious and flavorful. The beef was juicy and nicely tender, though they do not serve tendons(they have tender beef, brisket, flank and beef meat balls). There is limited condiments but the broth is great even without them! It’s really good for comfort foo... View all feedback.
What MV L doesn't like about Pho Thin Hanoi Vietnamese:
First time eating at this restaurant, which the server told under new ownership ~6-8 months ago). Will not come back after the dinner bad service we had couple days ago. FOOD: rated 3, average -Taste good. Like the fresh noodles. Did not like the small metal shallow soup spoon, easily slip out of fingers/hand...falling in the broth, in the bowl -Extra meat ball ordered and it came out in tiny bowl with 3-4 quarterly... I grew up with the Northern (Hanoi style Phở and I cannot recommend this place enough! It hits the spot, especially as I have not been to a Pho place in the States (NY, MA, WA, OR, CA where they actually make the authentic Pho Hanoi like this place. Try number 1 (Tai Lan Dac Biet , very tasty and expect it to be on the oily side as the original Pho Tai Lan is supposed to be that way (the beef is stir-fried with garlic, yum! . It is very good, in my humble opinion.
Food was good but portions was a little small. Food was good overall.
Nice people working there and the food is tasty. Today for an unknown reason they didn't have beans sprouts and that was bit disappointing because I like the fresh crunchy touch that they add to the pho soup. Other than that I enjoyed enormously the lunch. Is my second time there.
VERY authentic pho. Similar to what you would get in Vietnam. The broth is not overly spiced with cinnamon or star anise like most pho places in the US. I mean there are people who like that flavor, and that's perfectly fine. If you want something different try this place. Also they make their own chili sauce in house. It's not your store bought Sriracha. It has a nice kick to it, super good.
I'm not sure if this is the original Pho Thin location, but the broth is absolutely delicious and rich in flavor, while the meat is flavorful and tender without being tough. From what I've gathered, Pho Thin is famous for serving one signature type of pho, known for its generous amounts of scallions in the bowl. However, this menu also includes a variety of pho dishes designed to cater to the diverse tastes of the local multicultural community. In my opinion, the pho here is excellent, and I strongly recommend visiting this place if you're in the Fremont area.
