we took the guinness stew (guinness beef stew) and one of the dishes of the day that was the grilled lamb accompanied by a delicious sauce and both dishes from purée and vegetables. nice pub, cozy and frequented by locals. average prices (at least slightly lower) and friendly staff. What User doesn't like about Larkins Pub:
We really struggled to find a place to eat in that area as we arrived later than planned but the Larkins fitted us in (despite there being 12 of us!)The food was delicious (we had the stew, bangers and mash, homemade burgers, fish and chips, caesar salad), and the portions were generous. The owner who served us was very accomodating and provided excellent customer care. The prices were also extremely reasonable. View all feedback.
Best food in the world! classic classic city pub where the locals hang around. go in, take a bartool and you're home!
Lovely quaint Irish pub. Great bar staff who was very attentive. Food was of good quality and reasonably priced. Well worth a visit...
Super friendly staff. Good food, reasonable price. Dog-friendly. Cosy fire. Dave recommends.
Very good food and friendly staff, you feel welcome. The owner is very nice and helpful, an original. Don't be fooled by the location. We only ate at the restaurant. A clear recommendation. We arrived around 12.30 in the afternoon on Christmas Eve 2022. After a long drive from north of Dublin. What to say, a wonderful bar, full of character and friendly. We had starters, a super mushroom soup and brown bread. I had a super beef stew and my partner lemon sole. All dishes were delightful, great quality plain homecooked food, tasty and nourishing. The bar looked well stocked, although we only drank tea. Even here though you don't get a minature pot but a proper sized pot for two. Locals arrived as we dined all having a dinner. This is a no nonsense friendly irish family pub, and a treasure.
