Was User at Tonic a mag?
I visited for the first time since they introduced the set menu, and we were truly pleased with our experience. The staff were friendly and the food was delightful. Thank you for such a wonderful meal! The lunch price per person was $80–100. View all feedback.
What User dislikes about Tonic:
We dined here on a Friday night 3 weeks ago. Average service and disappointing food for such a well reputed restaurant. The food was luke warm despite being seated in front of the kitchen, a bone was found in the ravioli and the crab had the texture of imitation meat. Unfortunately to round off a horrible dining experience, the smoked apple dessert was rock hard and tasted like ash ...and that's coming from a couple... View all feedback.
Gawd, my tummy still rumbles in appreciation when I recall the Meet the Winemaker event we attended at Tonic during the 2015 Wine Festival.
High quality food offered in a lovely atmosphere, amongst beautiful and historic town.
Beautiful evening dining with my wonderful husband. Tonic restaurant is absolutely 5 stars plus more. Beautiful dining experience. The staff are so hospitable ,professional with such fine service. Food presentation alone was amazing . The food was simply 'superb ' Having 5 courses ; Pumpkin veloute served in a classic China tea cup saucer, Blue eye cod accompanied with spiced lentils eggplant, Mandagery creek venison ravioli beetroot, chicken breast accompanied with chickpea cauliflower and to finish off with the most delicate Erindale orange souffle` Exquisite. Such a beautiful dining experience. Thankyou Tony Nicole xx
Very happy to return to Tonic after far too long a break. Their degustation menu was terrific and surprisingly good value. Yes, they still have the stupidest cutlery known to man, but if you can wrestle with absurdly designed knives, you'll not be disappointed. We'll be back.
