My family has a summer cottage nearby, and for the past four years, we have enjoyed dining here regularly. The food was always delicious, and the owner and staff were exceptional, making us feel like part of the family. It feels like we have lost a close friend with the restaurant's closure.

T... read more I was pleasantly surprised by Two Tree in Millington. Located about 20 minutes from Chestertown, this charming storefront restaurant exceeded my expectations. The food was delicious, with the chef using unique ingredients to craft flavorful and beautifully presented dishes. I thoroughly enjoyed my salmon dish, which came with a bed of risotto, fresh asparagus, and roasted peppers. My husband opted for the shrimp and grits, a specialty of the house, and was equally impressed. Everything was served piping hot, a rare find nowadays. The smooth jazz playing in the background added to the cozy atmosphere. To top it off, our homemade desserts, carrot cake and apple crisp, were both exceptional. I would highly recommend Two Tree for a delightful dining experience.

Sunday evening, little prospect of findin... read more Exhausted and famished, three of us crossing bucolic farm country along MD301 from a wedding weekend in NC back to LI. Sunday evening, little prospect of finding decent eats, and out of the fog a large sign on the side of the road not far from Millington advertising Two Tree...a mirage or real? We found the modest looking restaurant and felt we had to go in whatever--not another restaurant open in the area. Beautiful interior, well decorated, and warm greeting from a middle aged waitress. We were seated in a dining room with what appeared to be a dozen or so couples, probably local. The menu was the first sign this was an extraordinary place, with an extensive wine menu, and a range of appetizers, soups, entrees, and (on a dessert menu) home made desserts. I ordered the mushroom soup (never reached us, many apologies), a crab cake entree (delicious, artfully arranged on the plate with rice and broccoli). A member of our party had home made banana cream pie (celestial) and shared it with the others. Since we were driving quite a few miles back to NY, we didn't sample any of the wines, but finished with espresso well brewed with a lemon peel garnish. This place is outstanding, and we'll be back on future road trips! I'll be sure not to be the designated driver so I can sample the tempting wines. Gourmet food in a relaxed, small town setting.

Molly, our waitress was very good, the restaurant is historical and she saw our interests and was helpful and telling us the history. The food is absolutely amazing!! My husband enjoyed a perfectly seared salmon over butternut squash complete with a butternut squash corn cake. I enjoyed the best roasted turkey Reuben sandwich ever and I love Rubens! Fresh and delicious! Our appetizer were fried oysters, absolutely amazing! We also enjoyed a salad which was very hearty and delicious enough for two to split. We can't wait for another road trip!!!
