Unfortunately, we are giving one star due to a serious concern. My companion has a severe allergy to wasps. While I appreciate the effort that might go into making a handmade warning sign about their presence, it would be more responsible to contact a professional for wasp removal services. I ended up getting stung, but thankfully my friend was not affected. There were numerous wasps near the entrance, which is both troubling and irresponsible. Until this issue is addressed, we will not be returning, as we want to enjoy our meals without the risk of wasp encounters. This is a crucial safety concern that needs immediate attention.

Although the exterior of the diner is dated and the interior is what you'd typically expect from a classic diner, the service and food exceeded my expectations. The bacon was perfectly crispy, the eggs were cooked just the way I like them, and the rye bread was fresh and tasty. The coffee was hot and strong, which I really appreciated. As someone who typically tries new eateries just once, I can confidently say this diner is a place I will definitely return to in the future.

When I... read more My experience at this restaurant went from bad to worse. Initially, I was served a glass of water that was disgustingly filthy and smeared with lipstick. When I requested a clean glass, the waitress responded with attitude and brought me a plastic cup instead. I wish I were joking. I then ordered the crispy chicken salad, but the chicken on top was some type of over-processed byproduct that was unappetizing and inedible. Additionally, I asked three different staff members for honey for my tea; the first two just stared at me as if I were speaking another language before walking away. While sitting at the counter, I noticed the overall cleanliness of the restaurant was appalling, which left me shocked. I considered leaving, but since I had already placed my order, I stayed. To make matters worse, the waitstaff spent their time chatting in front of the kitchen door instead of attending to customers or tidying up. It's a shame because this place could be quite charming with some improvements.

My husband and I chose to sit at the counter because of a long wait for a table. We each had a bloody mary that wasn't as spicy as I like but did the trick. We weren't insanely hungry so he had a double egg sandwich with ham and cheese and I had 2 poached eggs with hash browns and an English muffin. My husband loved his sandwich and my eggs were perfectly runny and poached. The hash browns and English muffin were a little extra crispy but not inedible. Cute little diner but wouldn't
