This restaurant is as classic as they come, from the decor to the menu, and I adore it. The staff is incredibly friendly and they create a very laid-back and enjoyable dining experience. I particularly enjoyed the traditional thick coffee mug, and I must mention that the coffee was exceptional (it's from a German coffee company called Wolfgang). What User doesn't like about Oakhurst Diner:
This a convenient stop for a quick bite while hiking or riding the rail/trail. Nothing great but nothing terrible. The signature burger and fries was pretty average, but it was a busy afternoon. I did have a nice IPA which balanced out the mediocre food. View all feedback.
Really cute! My husband and I chose to sit at the counter because of a long wait for a table. We each had a bloody mary that wasn't as spicy as I like but did the trick. We weren't insanely hungry so he had a double egg sandwich with ham and cheese andI had 2 poached eggs with hash browns and an English muffin. My husband loved his sandwich and my eggs were perfectly runny andpoached. The hash browns and English muffin were a little extra crispy but not inedible. Cute little diner but wouldn't go outof my way to stop again. (Maybe only to try the pho that I saw other diners enjoying!
This diner is as classic as diners can get (from the decor to the menu) and I absolutely love it. The staff is super friendly and they make the dining experience very relaxed and pleasant. I particularly liked the classic thick coffee mugs and I shouldnote that the coffee was spectacular (it's from a German coffee company called Wolfgang). I ordered the Big Daddy platter andwould highly recommend it. My friend ordered the pancakes that include options of blueberry or chocolate chip. Everything wasgreat about this diner and I'll definitely be coming back whenever I'm in the area.
Having breakfast at this restaurant was such a delightful experience. The price per person ranged from $20 to $30, but the quality of the food and service definitely justified the cost. I would give a perfect score of 5 for the food, service, and atmosphere. The Avocado Toast was especially delicious and highly recommended.
We had a pleasant experience at the restaurant. The food was delicious with a good variety. However, we are giving one star because my companion is allergic to wasps. If there is time to make a handmade sign warning about the presence of wasps, there should be time to contact a professional wasp removal service. I was stung by a wasp, but thankfully my friend was not. There were many wasps near the entrance, which is concerning and irresponsible. We will not be returning until the issue is resolved and we can enjoy our meal without the risk of encountering wasps. This is a safety issue that needs to be addressed.
I visited this diner on 9/16/22, and I was pleasantly surprised. Despite its old exterior and typical diner atmosphere inside, the service and food were exceptional. The bacon was perfectly crisp, the eggs were cooked just right, and the rye bread was fresh and delicious. The coffee was hot and strong, which I loved. As a foodie who usually tries new places only once, I can confidently say that this diner is a must-visit again in the future.
