Thanks Safeway for the needs and stay open when I needed it. Restroom needed some DC, but I survived. I thought I was calling nature. So I bought a little after that. Starbucks has some things that interest me. But I went to the Deli area to get a quick bite. The store was clean and welcoming. I didn't interact with the cashier. What User doesn't like about Safeway Liquor:
The guy in the meat department with glasses is a strange crawl.... He keeps following me every time I try to buy.... I once saw what frozen seafood I should buy, and he came from all the counter and tried to make a picture of his display, but I know he was just trying to get a picture of me. Do you not understand how yours allowed to use your phone, then go and cut meat??? He's a creepy ladies. View all feedback.

Clean, well stocked and helpful staff. I also switched my prescriptions from CVS to Safeway...short lines and competent pharmacist
Well J K, just read your review and I must have interacted with the same woman at the self check out. Her name is something like with Chrish..... I tried to see her badge multiple times but it was partially hidden under her sweater. She was managing the check out Sunday, Aug 14 around 10:30 AM. I came into the self check out area and went to the first station which had no bags on the rack. So I walked over to grab a bag, like any normal person would do, and started to get ready to scan my items. From behind me the woman snaps at me, I NEED TO PUT BAGS ON THE RACK. So I stepped back and she put them on the rack and then she walked away leaving the machine in the mode of help is on the way. So the machine would not function and she was now nowhere in sight. There was another machine that looked like it was functioning so I walked over to it and I started successfully scanning my items and putting them in the bag. She then walked up behind me while I am half way through scanning my orders and says, YOU 'RE THE ONE WHO KEEPS MESSING UP THE MACHINES. I am thinking, huh? So I explained to her that the other one she put the bags on was not working. She then walks away and starts gossiping with someone who looked like another manager and starts looking over at me. I can take my hard earned money and go to Piazza 's Foods where they embrace customer service. I don 't need that kind of unsolicited hostility coming at me as a customer or to feel compelled to spend my valuable time writing a yelp review. Safeway used to be a great company. It is now an organization that does not value its customer 's time as they are typically understaffed in the check out even before we hit labor shortages due to COVID. Sad to see an organization fall so low. And I will add after reading reviews of others who have had the same hostile customer experience at this self checkout in Millbrae that it 's a real indicator of the corporate culture that this employee has not been fired. I would give this store one star but the lady at the deli was lovely and they have Boar 's Head deli products so I bumped it up to two stars.
Good place to stop for grocery shopping as well as quick pitstop..if you're driving from San Jose, to San Francisco International Airport. Easy to find with decent parking lot.
I like tobuy most of my veggies and fruits at Safway. The produce at most, if not all Safeway locations are always fresh and clean. On top of that they have a lot of organic options which is always a huge plus. It's a bit more expensive, but worth every penny. This location as it all, the shelves are always full and the customer service is excellent
