I tried the mandele cashew curry with tofu for $13 along with some naan bread for $3, and it was delicious. The restaurant offers many vegan options, and the staff were very friendly, although they seemed a bit shy. View all feedback.
What Avishai Halev doesn't like about Yarsa Nepalese Cuisine:
This review is specifically about the salmon, whether in the Ginger-Garlic Curry or the Biryani. The quality of salmon used to be fantastic; fresh and flaky. About a year ago, they must have started sourcing from elsewhere and now the fish is chewy and fishy. Some bits are almost inedible. Super disappointed; I originally thought this was a one-off but it’s happened thrice in a row now – fool me thrice, you can’t foo... View all feedback.
I’ll start out by saying the prices for the dishes are great. We got 2 drinks, 2 appetizers, and 2 entrees and the total was under $50 before tip. We shared the pakoras, garlic naan, almond cashew curry, and the vindaloo curry. We double checked made sure that the items could be made vegan and our server was very helpful. We were seated outside so we didn’t see the inside but looking in it looked quite nice. The dishes were delicious, flavorful, and filling. I would definitely come again.
The food was very flavourful and they have many vegan options. Also the staff is very helpful.
I had the Almonds Cashew Curry with tofu (13$ plus some Naan bread (3$ and that tasted really good. Almost everything can be made vegan. They were very friendly, maybe a bit too shy
I recently visited Yarsa Nepalese Cuisine with my partner and had an amazing experience. The food was fantastic, the service was excellent, and we enjoyed the ambiance. In one word... superb. It would be great to see more vegan options on the menu. We started with a family-style order of veg momo soup, which consisted of delicious dumplings in a flavorful broth. For our main dish, we tried the Almond Cashew Curry with mixed vegetables and tofu, which was a tasty blend of nuts and coconut curry. We also had Pulau rice with veggies, nuts, and raisins, although it could have been warmer. We also enjoyed tandoori roti and vegan garlic naan. Next time, we'll stick to the tandoori roti as it was our favorite. Overall, we had a great meal with excellent service in a lovely atmosphere. North Beach may be known for Italian food, but Yarsa Nepalese Cuisine is a delightful hidden gem. We will definitely be returning!
The staff were friendly, the garlic naan and momos were delicious, free water was provided, and the red house wine was very good.
