I had a wonderful experience at Hubei Restaurant. The hostess was incredibly warm-hearted, making me feel right at home from the moment I walked in. To be honest, this is a very bad Hubei restaurant. My boyfriend is from Hubei and wanted to taste the taste of his hometown, so he went to look for food and ordered pork ribs and lotus root soup and hot dry noodles. The hot dry noodles were unimaginably unpalatable. It's so salty that you spit it out right after you put it in your mouth. The pork ribs and lotus root soup tastes pretty good. I dropped by for lunch and tried the Sichuan beef noodles. They were fresh and delicious! I even received a complimentary dessert.
The boss recommended 4 dishes, all of which tasted terrible, just like eating leftovers at home. I ordered 2 of them and they were quite unpalatable.
Have been looking for legit hubei food forever and this is it. Everything is delicious and super authentic. Chatted w the owners and they even make a lot of things not on the menu you can order. Loved the 热干面， and the sliced fried fish thing. 粑鱼 Reasonably priced too, and portions are reasonable.
Hot dry noodle. You should try it. Then love it. Eventually you can't without it.
