The Lighthouse Grill - Mill Valley

This is a secret jewel that doesn't get enough attention. My friends love the brunch, but I enjoy stopping on my way home for a drink and treat. Sitting on the terrace is my favourite!

The first and last time here. they have a floorless moimosa on the menu and what we ordered. but after a few refills, they insisted that we had to order food if we wanted another refill. they could have put this on the menu or could have told us in advance, but they didn't. that is not an honest way to make business. we didn't want to drink with a dozen mimics all afternoon. probably would have had one more thing, and maybe even by then would have been hungry. my old standby, buckeye, afterward and happy gave them many of our business. make them an honest business and they will have loyal customers.

Last night with two others for dinner. Order meal at 7:50 came at 9:10. Watch 4 other tables coming, order, served! When I finally had to look for Manager Ken, I get your meals! Nobody bothered us. Horrible management.

This restaurant is located in a tennis and recreation club and is located on the line mill valley /tiburon facing a small breakwater. eating was good, but a long time to get out of the kitchen. with good weather it is a nice place to sit outside and with views of the swimming pool and tennis courts. in the evening they have a view of the western tiburon over the water.

We went for Mothers Day brunch/lunch. Limited menu with very average food. Wouldn't recommend any of the dishes we had. Dated decor and overall ambience. Seemed popular on the day as it was full we had a reservation. Generally fine for a casual meal but definitely sub par for a special occasion.
